Wanna get good at something?
Go do it.
Go do it consistently.
Be open to feedback.
Filter out the negativity in the reactions you get.
Learn to see the different between well-intentioned feedback from people trying to build you up and vicious criticism from people who get scared you may succeed so they try to stop you in your tracks.
If what you are trying to achieve comes from a place of service, of passion, from a deep intrinsic need then I promise you people will show up to point the way, to encourage you, to help you improve.
If you want it as much as a man fighting for air to stop himself or herself from drowning your intention will resonate and you will see doors open. Maybe it will only be a small door at first, one you will have to crawl through, but things will happen.
If you want to paint, paint.
If you want to sing, sing.
If you want to have your own bakery, start with baking one pie and selling it to whomever, maybe a neighbour, maybe a colleague, maybe a family member. Just start.
Celebrate that start like it’s a huge success, cause it is.
Once you get started, keep going at it like a madman.
Gutta cavat lapidem, non vi sed saepe cadendo.
If you want to know what that means you will google it.
If you have a burning desire to achieve something and you have not chased it for at least 2 or 3 hours a day for at least 7 years you have NO RIGHT to give up on that dream.
Ok, if after 7 years of really giving it your all and there are still no results, then, AND ONLY THEN, are you allowed to start considering if maybe you need a different dream.
