I need something to do while am listening to audiobooks or just to calm down from stress, so I sometimes play old strategy games.

One of my favorites is Port Royal. My only problem with it is that I have run out of challenges.

This is because eventually you can only build in 20 cities plus one hideout you can turn into your own cities and you can also have only 20 convoys. So there are limits to what you can do. My goal was to get a building permit in every city, but when I discovered this was not possible I just wanted to get to a total sum of money of more than 200,000,000.

There is no dopamine to be gained from getting to more since at this point the game doesn’t even need me anymore. I set up a trading empire that runs itself.

Ah, I wish I could do this in real life. Well, I do, but on a far, far, far more limited scale.
