1. Unlike the IDF his goal wasn’t to eradicate the natives, his drive was to assimilate and pacify them. He didn’t have a problem with them if they opted to become American.

Nothing would horrify IDF weasles more than if all Palestinians started lobbying the world to become Israeli citizens. Israelis want to excluded the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank from their society. Luckily for them the drive for a binational state among Palestinians is rare.

If Israel ever succeeds in completely eliminating the threat of the Palestinians outside of its borders you can be sure that the religious fanatics and those who are not religious fanatics, but are riding the movement for their own personal gain like Netanyahu, then Palestinian Israelis inside Israel will gradually be expulsed as well. So if we’re going to compare Israelis to Indian fighters we have to compare them to fanatical butchers like Chivington, not Custer.

2. He often advocated for changes in US policy to the benefit of the natives.

3. He admired them as fighters and said that if he had been one of them he would resist too.

4. He got into trouble with president Grant for pointing out there was rampant corruption among those who were tasked to help the natives, implicating even Grant’s brother. Custer was a super star, one of the first people who managed to create a media circus around his persona. So imagine some IDF officer with a huge social media following criticizing his or her own government so openly and to his or her own detriment.

5. Yes, the first victims of Custer’s attack at the Little Big Horn were children and that is disgusting. His plan for the battle was almost certainly to try and separate the warriors from their women and children, thereby forcing them to lay down their arms and stopping them from scattering across the plains. I cannot admire that for one second, but unlike anyone in the IDF Custer had almost insane personal courage.

During the American Civil War he led many cavalry charges at the head of his men, to the very last he exposed himself to the enemy. His enemies were formidable. In the American Civil War the Confederates were clearly an underdog, but in most land battles the Confederates were only slightly underequipped compared to their Union opponents. Most Confederate soldiers had modern rifles for that era, just like yankee soldiers. The Union had a clear edge in siege artillery and logistical capabilities, but they did not have the vast technological advantages the IDF has over Hamas or Hezbollah. When he fought the natives the US army was cutting corners on everything and many natives at the Little Big Horn even had better rifles than what Custer’s men brought to the fight. His men’s guns were prone to jamming. The plains Indians formed arguably the best light cavalry in the world at the time.

What does this mean? That compared to the IDF Custer faced an enemy with a relatively fair chance in battle. The IDF fails abysmally in fights against Hamas and Hezbollah even though its advantages in technology, budgets, weaponry and international support are absolutely staggering. As a result the IDF perniciously focuses on murdering children and other defenseless civilians. This was AGAIN confirmed by a new UN inquiry this week.

So yes, I can find some admiration for Custer even though he was an attention seeking dandy, a glory hunter and an overambitious vain man in love with his own myth. He is arguably one of the first truly modern men. He dabbled in everything, business, investing, politics, the military, adventure, exploration and writing. He’s like these influencers we see who can’t sit still for two seconds and are always hunting likes and attention, any which way possible. But he risked his life doing so, was hard on himself and his men and in his personal life obviously valued family and his wife Libby, who worshipped him and stayed devoted to him for decades after his death at the Little Big Horn.

I cannot find any such redeeming qualities in any IDF member. They are vain vapid foppish baby torturers operating in a bubble of entitlement, pamperedness, complaceny and spiritual and moral ruin.

Hipsters who lick ice cream and sip multiingredient lattes, hop from summer festival to summer festival, and when called up specialize in sniping babies in the head, beating children, putting on looted lingerie and other ridiculous frat boy activities, but with a lot more rapes and sadism towards the defenseless.

What kind of humanity rotting locusts are they if you can put them next to Custer and go:

I can imagine having dinner with Custer and having a meaningful conversation, but I can only imagine vomitting all over them if I ever had to sit down with an IDF weasel.
