Mineral wealth. FABULOUS mineral wealth.

According to this NBC new article Afghanistan is sitting on $1 trillion in minerals.

The article states:

‘Afghanistan may hold 60 million tons of copper, 2.2 billion tons of iron ore, 1.4 million tons of rare earth elements such as lanthanum, cerium and neodymium, and lodes of aluminum, gold, silver, zinc, mercury and lithium. For instance, the Khanneshin carbonatite deposit in Afghanistan’s Helmand province is valued at $89 billion, full as it is with rare earth elements.’

Afghanistan is one of the poorest countries on earth, it’s a bit smaller than the state of Texas, it has no conventional weapons that could possibly even remotely reach US soil, it poses no direct threat to the US whatsoever, yet the US has had boots on the ground for years and years and it clearly has no intentions of abadonding the region. Before it invaded the country it made a pact with the devil (the mujahedeen) to flush out the Soviets, a plan that worked, a plan that also involved supporting one Bin Laden, whom they -allegedly- killed in the post 9/11 era.

Hmm, could it be the US is so involved in the Afghanistan because of a $1 trillion treasure in the Afghan ground?

Could it also be handy to isolate Russia, Iran and China with bases everywhere around these three coutries?
