You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with.

If those are people who are satisfied with a less than average salary, if they think small, not big, if they get their ego fix from small ‘triumphs’, you are in trouble. You will not thrive, you will not have much of an impact. Surround yourself with people who have the same values and want to achieve the same things. Get yourself a thriving tribe. Ditch the rest, they will sap your energy.

I got this cute image with the lions from a website called https://www.modernwarriormind.com/

I had never heard of it before, I haven’t checked it out yet, but to my surprise Sasha Daygame recommends it, so it might be good. Check it out.

I like the name, in today’s chaotic environment you need to be a warrior or the egocentric leeches will suck the blood right out of you. The constant negative news drivvle will get you down. You will be affected by the majority of people who will tell you it cannot be done. Most people will not be supportive of any kind of plan that goes a little bit beyond the orthodox. Most people will point to the risks, not the opportunities. If you want something different, you cannot surround yourself with people who are satisfied with regular, low paid jobs. In my personal life I can see that most people do not believe we can publish and sell our own books.

Most people get paid just enough not to quit and not to starve.

I would rather eat shit for a couple of years and live the rest of my life exactly the way I want to.

Or maybe I will die eating shit, but that’s ok too. If I would work in a shuffling papers kinda job, making money for the share holders, I would die on my first day.
