I couldn’t sleep a few week ago. I drew one book after the other off my shelves. I was in the mood for a personal story. Nothing complicated. Something straightforward.

This hit the spot.

I like the setting of Marbella. I liked the tone of the author. It felt genuine and authentic.

Although he works as a gigolo the narrator struggles with many of the same insecurities I struggle with. So it was fun reading how he overcame them.

A pleasant, at times even a bit erotic, beach read.

I won’t see any beach for years to come, I guess, but this book made me feel like I was strolling around Marbella dating bubbly young ladies.

It doesn’t go too deep, but there was more psychological insight than I had expected.

Not bad for a book that had been collecting dust on my shelves for five years or so.
