Juan Carlos Cruz, a survivor of sexual abuse, spent three days with Pope Francis at the Vatican in April, in which he discussed his sexuality and the abuse he suffered at the hands of a Chilean priest.
Describing his encounter with the Pope to CNN, Cruz said: “You know Juan Carlos, that does not matter. God made you like this. God loves you like this. The Pope loves you like this and you should love yourself and not worry about what people say.”
That’s so nice. This is the first time a pope treats homosexuals like Jesus would have treated them. With love and acceptance.
Being gay is totally okay.

This is quite empowering. The Pope is but a man, as well. He is human.
I love the way this conveys my feelings; Neither I or anyone else has a Heaven or a Hell of where to place themselves or anyone else, no matter how religious, enlightened, spiritual or how highly ranked in titles and positions.
I do not think I would worship or serve any GOD or deity that suggests that I hurt, harm or kill people based on a Biblical verse even. I would seriously have to rethink a religious position. Most people who quote the Bible and verses are just that, fanatical obsessives with a self-righteous attitude of I’m Christian and going to heaven and all others are sinners, evil, the devil and destined, doomed to hell.
I am usually baffled by the concept of being a Christian for a display and contradictory behavior of subtle or blatant discrimination, prejudice and other forms of “unchristian-like characteristics( continuous idle gossip, fake witnessing to people, etc. )
I am still awaiting for that one person to prove to me by showing me his, her or their confirmation number for their reserved spot in heaven or hell.
