Yesterday I posted something about ‘choose pussy over pain’.

The post got the second most hits in one day from all posts on this blog.

Quite a few people were disgusted.

Because of the word pussy.

I NEVER get reactions on posts about bombardments, invasions, corruption, killings, genocide, civil wars, propaganda, money grubbing, etc.

Really, nobody ever comments, ‘so many people died? Oh, now I’m disgusted’. Never happens.

But a naked lady appears and uses some ‘naughty words’ and some people get on their high horse and have their blood temperature boiling.

It’s kinda revealing, isn’t it?

Am not sure what makes these people so squeamish about a word like pussy. Someone went so far as to say it’s a ‘vile’ word.

Does this ‘vileness’ purely refer to the word an sich, or does that person also think the sexual organs of women are vile?

Is this person not comfortable with her own sexuality?

When people react emotionally there must be something personal going on.

If I would post about my experiences visiting a Palestinian refugee camp, with 25,000 people cramped on exactly one square kilometer, nobody would react emotionally, in fact, as per usual, I would get ZERO reactions on something like that. Because they simply do not care, they can’t relate, it has nothing to do with them, there’s no emotion.

But the word pussy?

Oh, my…

It’s not even the most explicit one out there. I think cunt is much more charged than pussy for example.

My personal favorite is the word yoni, because it has a sacred ring to it, and I consider vaginas to be sacred, especially after reading the book Vagina by Naomi Wolf.

The only time I’m disgusted when people use words referring to the female reproductive organ is when they use it as a swear word.

Flemish people say ‘kut’ (something like cunt) when something doesn’t go their way or to describe a miserable situation. Some Slovak people often use the words ‘dick’ (kokot) and ‘cunt’ (piča) in the same manner.

This does make me sad, because it suggests that a vagina is something bad, when it clearly isn’t. It’s beautiful, it’s a natural marvel, it’s vital and it comes with a clitoris, an organ with no other purpose than to give women pleasure.

How could this possibly be something ‘vile’?

The following ranks as one of my deepest frustrations in life:

How to get zero shocked reactions: ‘Estimates of deaths in the Syrian Civil War vary between 321,358 and 470,000.’
How to get shocked reactions: ‘Pussy.’
