I have a student who, like me, is into Jungian psychology. He’s a top earner, highly educated, not just in the formal sense, but also privately. He goes far, far beyond language learning or merely acquiring some skills to try and impress people.

Monday afternoon we talked for three hours over coffee.

At a certain point he had tears in his eyes, some of the things he said, touched me profoundly.

We stripped ourselves of all typical macho defense mechanism, told the truth out loud, about everything and everyone, including ourselves.

We were both shaking.

I can’t go into detail for privacy reasons, but we went about as deep as you can go in only 3 hours.

The result is that I started making some healthy changes. Changes to put oxygen into my life, raise my income, instead of tolerating scraps in denigrating, diminishing set-ups with people who stand for nothing and never became adults.

So that’s it.

The changes will be left and are felt.

‘Something is different about you’, is a recurring phrase now.

It’s a man stripping himself of all ballast, clutter, junk dopamine, parasites, people begging for my attention in silly ways, middlemen and middlewomen, people with no backbone, etc.

I have never felt this alive.

It hurts to be this alive, but with every passing day it hurts a little less, and more and more it tastes like pure freedom, defragmentation and integrity.

I see the daily cost people pay when they settle for far, far less.
