The only real religion these days has seven Gods:

– bigger salary, for less work, grow investment portfolio

– bigger car than the neighbours

– fancier dwelling place

– insta worthy sidekick trophy as spouse

– gym gains

– flying to trendier holiday destinations and/or escapism in front of screens

– kids to groom as reflection of one’s success or never ready for kids

People who serve these Gods, you certainly know some of them, maybe you are one of them (but reluctantly or with feelings of guilt if you are on this website) are not capable of deep friendship or real intimacy. Their entire life becomes a performance, they have to wear so many masks to serve these Gods that they forget the real face under their masks.
