The West supports Israel not out of any moral drive, but out of pure strategic interest. Israel serves as a military outpost, arms market, cyberwar lab, and energy partner. U.S. aid cycles back to defense contractors, tech giants invest in Israeli innovation, gas exports help Europe cut reliance on Russia. Lobbyists, donors, and think tanks keep political support airtight. Israel is a cornerstone in the western power structure. Stopping a genocide is simply not in the interest of the west or of its Arab allies. Those in power value profit over people. If they could achieve these goals only by supporting the Palestinians they would drop Israel immediately and all newspapers would change their headlines accordingly.
