– business ties make it impossible for members of the establishment to put any real pressure on Israel to stop the genocide. In fact, quite a few of them are killing it. They are making a profit by the flow of weapons to Israel. So we’ve learned that people who have children of their own can look away when other people’s children are blown to pieces as long as their bank accounts fatten or as long as those who profit donate to their campaigns or make sure that the newspapers they own report favorably on them

– the reaction to Gaza has exposed who has power in our world and it’s obviously not people who would ever use that power to stop pure evil

– whether a country gets isolated for killing civilians does not depend on the gravity of the atrocities comitted but on financial ties and opportunities for geopolitical control. Ergo: Russia is slammed with sanctions, Israel is not. Civilian deaths in Ukraine get a curiously disproportionate level of attention in western media. It’s clearly not about who is killed and how they die, though the western public does care a little bit more if a white fair haired boy loses his legs than when it’s a brown boy with black hair. Still, what you read in the news is essentially what a predatory segment of the owning class wants you to consume as news

– if you have been paying attention that no persecuted people has ever shown so much resilience, dignity, solidarity, ingenuity, love, courage as the Palestinians. If you have been paying attention you will also have seen how damn eloquent Palestinians are and how oddly handicapped Israelis are in argumentation. There is a shocking level of intellectual laziness among zionists, whereas Palestinians defend their case much more coherently, serenely and without the bizarre hysterical victim mentality that is so common among zionists. Palestinians, even in their hour of greatest need, give us poetry. Israelis gives us freakish temper tantrums

– Not all is lost, since there has been an overwhelming, unexpected outpour of support for the Palestinians, even though every media product (‘article’) strongly suggests history started on October 7th and does a terrible job at presenting what actually happened on that day (essentially a succesfully executed military raid as a desperate attempt to prevent being squeezed away into total oblivion by the blockading concentration camp overseers in Israel)

– Arab countries, quite like western countries, are ruled by a small oligarchy that doesn’t represent their population’s wishes or concerns

– You have outmatch your enemy in every possible military category and still struggle massively to defeat your enemy because you don’t have the heart or the brains to wage a war that actually reaches sound strategic objectives. Gaza truly is Vietnam all over again, expect that the Palestinians are much more isolated and on their own than the North-Vietnamese and the Vietcong

– the media will never explain how exceptional it is that little Hamas is able to give the Israeli high tech puppet army such a terrible headache

– Israel has an astonishingly low threshold for absorbing casualties. If Israel loses 10 US college kids, I mean, sorry, 10 IDF soldiers, it’s like a staggering loss already. This unwillingness to bleed for their beloved nation is quite weird. This suggests that if Israel faced an evenly matched enemy they wouldn’t last two weeks

– It’s been wild seeing Israelis and their fans – who almost always seem to support Israel only because they secretly identify with the archetype of an insecure entity asserting itself through the murder of others – bend over backwards to come up with excuses for why the people who drop gigantic incendiary bombs on children in tents are not actually responsible for shredding those children. This shows that when a state has no viable cultural existence, no coherent identity and no convincing foundational story binding all citizens together it can only turn to brute force to maintain itself. It’s no wonder that Israel hasn’t had one original non-violent idea to resolve this conflict and get out of its predicament. Israel is a state that knows how to attract financial gain and can gather the latest lethal technology, but otherwise it’s out of ideas. Why? Because it’s too tiresome to maintain the fiction of Israel. Its citizens don’t have the energy for anything else than to kick around and slash at enemies, both real and imagined. It’s become so difficult to expand the little greedy empire that there is an empire building fatigue in Israel. There is also an increasing disconnect between the hyena like fundamentalist nutcases that are the settlers and the somewhat more guilt ridden secular or half secular zionist Israelis.

– There is hope for America too, because the US involvement in this sickening inferno cost the Democrats the White House. Lacking viable alternatives the US bi-party olicharchy vomitted up the bullying real estate mogul, but still, it’s a sign that millions of Americans in the most propaganda filled cultural ecosystem in the world didn’t drink the pro-Israeli koolaid

– no matter the direct outcome in Gaza now, Israel is not a viable project in the long run. Millions of very bright children all over the world have been politicized by these horrifying events and they got their news on uncensored live streams, not from snappy, clickbait talk shows or sterile, sanitized mainstream media outlets

Things look dire right now, but with some luck we are seeing the last violent twitches of a dying monster. All those people we have seen perish in the most heart breaking circumstances will never come back, but it’s now our duty that the hope of 1945, the hope of ‘never again’, will be never again for real this time.

Sorry for any typos, too tired to reread this.
