So… after watching another one of those free Israeli anatomy classes:
– the Lancet tells us the death toll may very well be about ten times higher than we feared, meaning 8 percent of the people in Gaza have been whacked, torn to pieces, dragged through the meat grinder, plowed into the ground by tanks, sniped to a pulp, bombed into misshaped hamburger patties and starved to death. While am writing this you can count on it that several young mothers are seeing their newborns waste away in incubators that don’t get enough electricity to sustain their fragile lives and some kids have been reduced to blobs of barely breathing Pain cause Israeli bombs have barbecued them. 8 percent is an exceptionally large death toll. It’s very reasonable to assume every Gazan had been brutally traumatized for the rest of their lives and many of us around the world are vicariously traumatized, because we wanted this to stop and saw anyone with some actual power to stop it encourage Israel. The trauma of having leaders that don’t care about anything we care about is simply terrifying.
– some who are so lobotomized by brutal emotional neglect while growing up and still want to get brownie points for licking the boots of their idolized Israeli overlords are still yapping ‘but khamaaas, but October 7th, but what else could Israel have done than ripping the life out of innocents??’ like parrots high on a small pharmacy stocked exclusively with Ritalin pills
– meanwhile Israeli spokespeople are still doing absurd mental gymnastics to deny that the IDF does not give a rat’s ass about its own civilians
– the media remain complicit in hiding the fact that Israeli dungeons are full with Palestinian hostages currently being tortured in ways well documented by organizations like Amnesty International, of course labeled anti-semitic like anything and anyone that is the least bit critical of the baby killing entity
– there is obviously no red line whatsoever and apparently October 7th can logically and morally be used to, if Israel chooses to swing that way, wipe out the entire world and Piers ‘hang on’ Morgan, seconds before being hit by Israeli bombs, will whine: ‘Ok, Israel may be going too far here, but Hamas did commit some atrocities on October 7th’
– plenty of people predicted as far back as October that this was a senseless operation and that the stated Israeli goal of destroying Hamas was unachievable
– politicians still allow themselves to be hijacked by Europe’s dark past and still think they are doing the ultimate virtue signalling by covering up Israel’s crimes. Anyone who moves in ‘important’ circles would rather hang on to useful personal connections than to stand with the common people and speak out against a genocide our governments are aiding along
– we have yet to see any serious proof that Israel cares about Palestinian civilians. Dropping leaflets on them and forcing them to move to areas where they can and will be bombed or starved anyway is not moral at all, it’s akin to playing Russian roulette with millions of people with every decent person with an internet connection having to endure these live gore filled hunger games
– speaking of Russian, when Russian bombs kill Ukrainians the media points that out in its headlines, not so when Israeli-US bombs kill civilians
– No, Hamas should not put civilians in its tunnels, unless you are willing to admit that the IDF is not doing much about those tunnels and therefore they are safe. You can’t have it both ways
– Clearly Iran is not the lunatic asylum we have been led to believe, since they have shown only restraint in the face of Israeli provocations
– the behaviour of Israeli soldiers on their own social media channels clearly show that them taunting the world and reminding us that they will stop at nothing to ruin Palestinian lives, not just in Gaza, but everywhere they can
– nothing Israel says can ever be trusted, they have lied about everything, they have been twisting the truth from even before 1948 (do read the work of Illan Papp and others who meticulously document how Israel has been covering up the truth concerning its deep rooted dehumanization of the Palestinians
– we have all seen the gruesome, nightmarish images Israeli crimes have produced, this harrowing experience we are daily exposed to has left its marks on us and will inevitably have long term consequences that Israel will not be happy about, to put mildly
– Israel is doing an October 7th every day, except that the ratio dead enemy combatants versus civilians is utterly laughable and this has forever tainted the Israeli leadership as a rogue regime that has to be brought to trial
– this has been true from the beginning: every Israeli accusation is a confession. Israelis imagine Palestinians capable of the worst crimes because Israelis are so supportive of their own side committing crime upon crime. How many Palestinians are seeing some of their possessions go up in flames in the West Bank while you are reading this? This is definitely not only about Gaza
– Pointing to any kind of other disastrous situation on this planet does not expunge Israel’s ever lengthening criminal record in the slightest
– The whole idea of western justice will die along with all Gazan childhoods (physically for many, psychologically for all of them) if the Israeli and American hatchers of this demonic plan are not held to account
– The only way Israel deals with any problem is to somehow create a bigger problem and more suffering and worse enemies. Do we really need to keep breathing artificial life into a state that can only exist if enough blood keeps flowing? Is this some sacrificial ritual to appease ancient gods on an unprecedented scale we never received the Facebook invite for? These killings made no sense nine months ago and they make even less sense with each passing day
– The few hostages Gaza has are nothing compared to the constant kidnapping and killing of Palestinian children by Israel. Before there can be any talk of releasing the Israeli hostages Israel needs to stop its torture of Palestinians. Yes, there should be no Israeli hostages, but some parts of the Palestinian resistance have made the tough choice to fight fire with fire and has developed the only tactics Israel understands. Maybe we would not have made that choice, but we didn’t grow up as part of a group that Israel treats as animals with the uncondintional help of the world’s only superpower
– you have all discovered people through this mind boggling ordeal that have helped keep you sane, keep reaching out to each other and don’t let this nauseating phase in humanity’s evolution destroy you, the Palestinians need you, we need you.
Be well, be safe and know that the ripple effect of any of your good deeds is a service to us all, even if you don’t see its immediate effects.
The price is enormous, but we have an opportunity, once again, to make sure something like this never happens again, a chance to root out hypocrisy and double standards in our media and politics.
Oh, and reserve a very special place in your hearts for the tough as nails minority of Israelis that is valiantly struggling to restrain Israel and to talk some sense into the people they are daily surrounded by. More courageous bulwarks against barbarity and apathy have never existed.
May knowing you are fighting the good fight bring lightness to your steps.
